Hotspot formatting |
The next two buttons on the Toolbar deal with the relative positions of two hotspots which occupy a whole or part of the same area of the image. These functions enable one to control which hotspot will receive click and mouse events. They can also be accessed from the menu, or by right-clicking the appropriate hotspot.
Allows the highlighted hotspot to receive click and mouse events in Hotspot Designer, making it the active hotspot. It is therefore, in effect, placed in front of or overlaps a 'second' hotspot that is occupying a whole or part of the same area of the image. During runtime, the hotspot that was 'brought to front' will appear and/or receive its appropriate AutoHotPopup when the mouse pointer moves over it and the area of overlap. It is important to note that this function only applies to click or mouse events that occur over the common area, and if the events occur over other parts of a hotspot that do not overlap with another hotspot, then the events will, of course, be carried out without any influence of this function.
Makes the highlighted hotspot the inactive hotspot and places it behind a 'second' hotspot that is occupying a whole or part of the same area of the image. The 'second' hotspot then overlaps the first, and if click or mouse events occur over the area common to both hotspots, the 'second' hotspot will receive these events in Hotspot Designer and grab handles will appear around the hotspot. During runtime, the hotspot that was 'sent to back' will only appear and/or receive its appropriate AutoHotPopup when the mouse pointer moves over it, but not the common area. If moved over the common area, the other hotspot will be highlighted and/or trigger its appropriate hotspot event.
